It was pure chance that I got hold of my first bass. The chance acquaintance evolved into a deep passion. After the first notes on the E-bass in Pop and Funk bands, musical excursions on the double bass in the Jazz and world music followed. My love of the E-Bass accompanied me during my whole of my student days. This was “Hanns Eisler” at the University of Music in Berlin and at the “Bass Collective” in New York.

Today I play mainly for Swing, Jazz and Salsa bands, where I can devote myself to my second passion, composition and arrangements.
